The seven PDP rebel governors are reactionists pure and simple.Let us look at their antecedents. Rabiu Kwankwaso is a tyrant in Kano who has been sponsoring Boko Haram to bomb the Ndigbo in Sabon Gari Kano. Babangida Aliyu did not win election in 2007 in Niger State. In fact he was still a civil servant during the election. Mua’azu Babangida Aliyu is an Islamic fundamentalist.
Abdulfatah Ahmed was handpicked by Bukola Saraki against the wish of the Senior Saraki and that led to the senior Saraki’s untimely death. Sule Lamido’s son is in jail for money laundering that was encouraged by the father. But the worst of them all is Murtala Nyako who is supposed to be the governor of Adamawa State.
Security reports have it that, it is Nyako who encouraged and sponsored Boko Haram to invade Adamawa State to use them for the 2012 Adamawa gubernatorial election. As far back as 2007, Murtala Nyako was a bankrupt old soldier who was looking for a buyer for his farm in Mayo Belwa in Adamawa State. Then from nowhere Professor Jibril Aminu begged and begged Obasanjo who single-handedly imposed Nyako on PDP and flagrantly rigged the election in Nyako’s favor.
We remember equally how the courts voided that election. We equally remember Atiku boasting then that his candidate Late Bapatel will win the re-run election even if the heavens will fall. Murtala Nyako is the father of injustice. Look at the officers of his faction of PDP in Adamawa State. The chairman of his PDP faction, Mijinyawa Kaigama is his first cousin from the same ward with him in Mayo Belwa local government. Mijinyawa Kaigama has been the factional chairman since 2007 when Nyako became the governor. Does it mean that the rotation of PDP offices does not apply to Adamawa State?
As far back as 2009 and 2010, Adamawa elders have accused Nyako of tribalism and nepotism. In a June 2010 well attended meeting in Yola, they accused Nyako of promoting his tribal agenda by appointing his tribal men to all government institutions in Adamawa State. Adamawa State has over 100 tribes and languages.
Nyako’s PDP faction should be disbanded and a new election conducted for justice to be done. The rebel PDP governors have nothing to offer their various states not to talk of Nigeria. Let the rebel governors find solutions to the Boko Haram and Islamic terrorism bedevilling the Northern part of Nigeria first. Thank God they are all Muslims. But they are busy gallivanting all over the place looking for solutions to problems they created by themselves in the first. From their actions so far, they are rebels without cause but selfishness.
As for Atiku Abubukar, oops! He is finished politically for playing into the hands of the rebel governors myopic views. Therefore, Rear Admiral Murtala Nyako cannot be talking of justice while he is the father of injustice and jungle justice sponsoring Boko Haram to attack his home state. We have total confidence in the Bamanga Tukur led PDP. There is no alternative to Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
Atiku Abubukar and especially the seven rebel PDP governors are nothing but reactionaries resisting the wonderful wind of change blowing across Nigeria. Every Nigerian has the legal right to be Nigerian president including Ijaws. Ndigbo,Idoma, Kalabari, Urhobo, Itsekiri, Tiv, Igala,Yoruba, Southern Kaduna, Ngas, Berom, Bura, Mumuye, Kamwe, Baju,Jukun, Marghi. Ibibio, Edo, Yoruba, Tangale, Tarok, Eggon and Hausa-Fulani
