Please who would think of sneaking into Jail? Well Mathew Matagrano did sneak into Jail. Convicted sex-offender Matthew Matagrano pleaded guilty in a New York court for using phony credentials to sneak into jail.
The New York Post reported that the 36-year-old Matagrano plead guilty Thursday of posing as a correction officer, and gaining access to the Manhattan Detention Center.
Charges against him include breaking into the facility on February 27th and assaulting a prisoner, and stealing a walkie-talkie worth $2,500. He also handed out cigarettes to some of the inmates. Matagrano had previously been convicted of sodomy, and sexual abuse.
It is unclear why he wanted to sneak into jail, but he won’t have to anymore. If convicted, he could receive a 10 year sentence.
