US rapper Joseph Cartagena, popularly know as Fat Joe has been sentenced to four months in federal prison for tax evasion. Reports have it that the rapper owned up about evading his tax responsibilities, blaming ‘fancy guys in bow ties’ for the mismanagement of his finances.
Fat Joe who has allegedly failed to pay $718,038 in taxes from 2007 through 2010 has promised to repay the entire sum.
Joe will also pay $150,000 as fine, and he’ll be monitored for a year after the completion of his jail term.
