Get Your Smokey Eye Make Up Done

Smokey eyes have been a big style for quite awhile and there’s no sign this particular trend is dying. The look gives the wearer a mysterious feel that is very captivating, it can change your face dramatically; transforming the girl-next-door into a stylish diva. The key to the perfect smokey eye is proper blending. You want to make sure colors are blended together flawlessly. Here is a step by step tutorial to achieve the perfect smokey eyes.

  •  Prime your lid by patting on regular foundation, it’ll form a base for your makeup to stick to. Then apply a neutral eye shadow base to make the makeup last longer. Make sure the base is smooth and blends well with your skin.
  • Using a small make-up brush apply the lightest(a shade lighter than your actual skin tone) colored eye shadow on the brow bone. Take the second lightest eyeshadow and apply the eyeshadow on the inner corner of the eye until about three thirds into the lid.
  • Take the darkest colored eyeshadow and apply it on the outer corner of the eye working your way on the lid. Make sure you apply a little bit of the dark eyeshadow over the second lightest color. Blend the dark colored eyeshadow well into your crease by wiggling the brush back and forth.
  • Now properly blend the darker color with the lighter one to attain a smooth transition from one color shade to the other.
  • Apply a little bit of the second lighter color eyeshadow  on your lower lid until about half way starting from the inner corner of the eye. Apply the darker color over the outer corner of the lighter eyeshadow continuing up towards the outer corner of the eye.
  • Finish up the look by applying a liquid eyeliner and draw a fine smooth line on your upper lid starting close to your lashes from the inner towards the outer corner of the eye. Add mascara in several coats to give your lashes a fuller look.
  • Note that you can’t have your eye and lip make up heavy at the same time. Keep the rest of your make up simple when doing the smokey eye.
