Blackout At Murtala Mohammed International Airport.

Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos was thrown into darkness for more than 6 hours yesterday because of power failure.  Passengers arriving and departing the airport were almost suffocated at the immigration areas, the check-in area and the airline counters. Most of the passengers  said power supply to the has been an irregular issue for over a week, the airport officials could not do anything about the power outage,  Airline staff had to switch on their cell phones for them to be able to profile passengers properly while the immigration officers, security agents, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and men of the Nigerian Customs Services find a way to keep from suffocating.

Power supply was restored around 7:10pm after several hours of blackout.
