Kefee’s medical bills from the US hospital before she passed away were paid by the current Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, according to a source.
Before Kefee passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014, she was hospitalized in a Las Vegas hospital for 15 days and placed in the Intensive Care Unit.
An insider in the Uduaghan family revealed: “The medical bills accumulated and was becoming a serious burden for the late singer’s husband to bear, Governor paid for everything.”
“Kefee was close to the Uduaghan family. The Governor’s wife Roli Sheila Uduaghan was very fond of her, Kefee performed at her sister’s christening of her daughter,” the source said.
A condolence register has been opened for the singer at her restaurant, Branama Kitchen, Mende, Maryland, Lagos.
