Yoruba comic actor, Golugo (Adekola Tijani) was 3 Sundays ago attacked by armed robbers in Ikorodu Area of Lagos State.
He was robbed at gun point around Ebute. In the ancient town on his way back to hotel room, from the wedding of his friend, Sanyeri which took place at Anchor Events Centre, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday December 1st.
We reliably learnt that the mean looking, gun-trotting armed robbers suddenly double cross his car conveying him, his wife and his aides, Joshua, Laitan, Korede and Bidemi. The car was sandwiched between the 2 cars, Honda and Toyota brought by the robbers, with no way for him to escape the attack, they thereafter brought guns ordering everybody to surrender all they had on them.
The robbers then dispossessed the actor’s £2000,#180,000, Gold,12 expensive phones, including BlackBerrys,Laptop, International Passport, as well as the key to his Pathfinder Jeep key and several other valuable items.
On his own part, newly wedded couple, Sanyeri and his wife,Omolara alongside another actor, Lala escaped the robbery because their own car was in the front, and had gone before Golugo’s car was got to the scene. On going to the hotel, the couple realised that Golugo’s car was no where to be found, so they quickly turned back to trace them, and they met at the point where they were robbed. The case has however been reported at Ijede Police station, Ikorodu.
