Veteran Musician, Victor Uwaifor Joins 2Face Idibia’s Record Label

Information reaching us now indicates that 2Face Idibia has signed veteran musician and former Commissioner in Edo State, Victor Uwaifo under his Hypertek Digital record label.

The deal was reached this morning at Club Rumours, which is reportedly co-owned by 2Face and Dotun, Queen Onakola’s husband.

It was learnt that the former Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism under Lucky Igbinedion will now release his new album under the young singer’s label.

We also gathered that the ‘Guitar Boy’ and ‘Mami Water’ crooner is excited about the development and he’s ready to take the centre stage again like he did many years ago.

Uwaifo created his own style of music called ‘Joromi’ and has been in the business of music since 1960. Only some months ago did 2Face do a remix of Victor Uwaifo’s friend, Victor Olaiya’s ‘Baby Jowo’, which was a smash hit single back then.

Uwaifo is the Chairman of Joromi Organization, which is a multi-track recording and television studio in Benin City, Edo State. He also runs an art gallery and the Victor Uwaifo Hall of Fame.
