Kanye West Brings on Stage Messiah Replica During Opening of ‘Yeezus’ Tour

Kanye West is making headlines again for his disrespect of the Messiah figure.

During the kick off of his Yeezus Tour on Saturday night at Seattle’s Key Arena, the 36-year-old rapper as expected started the tour in his typical grandiose style.

Apart from wearing a mask (which many are used to by now) for about  90 percent of the show, the 21-time Grammy winner brought on stage at one point a Jesus look alike wearing the stereotypical white robe and brown beard.

As the Messiah look alike walked on stage, Kanye jokingly asked “White Jesus, is that you?… Oh, shit!” Later, Kanye and his female back-up dancers bowed to the Jesus look-alike as he stood on the mountain top.

The Yeezus show was also permeated with Catholic imagery such as the Virgin Mary, crucifixes, and clouds of incense.
