Kim Kardashian is getting back to her roots … well, her hair roots at least. The 32-year-old mother of baby North West debuted her new blond look over the weekend at a friend’s Labor Day barbeque. Joico celebrity stylist George Papanikolas of Andy Lecompte Salon in Beverly Hills was the man behind Kim’s stunning transformation.And the once ubiquitous star did a good job of keeping her new ‘do away from prying eyes — it had been a week and a half between when she got the lighter locks and when anyone actually saw it. “We did it over a week and a half ago on August 23 at her mom’s house,” George noted.
That might explain why her brown roots are already growing back a bit.
Following the reality star’s social media hints over the past several weeks that she might be returning to lighter locks (she tweeted about her Sunkissed tan line, and posted pics of herself previously as a blonde), George confirmed to omg! that “she’s wanted to go blond for a while.”
“We decided to do something dramatic,” he continued. “She wanted blonde but with an edge. We were able to do it all in one session.”
This isn’t Kim’s first time going blond. She dyed her hair a lighter hue in 2009, and has worn blond wigs off and on over the years.
