Real Madrid's Kaka wants to leave

Kaka has told Real Madrid that he believes it is the right time for him to look for a new club. The Brazilian has been at the Santiago Bernabeu since 2009 but has fallen down the pecking order in recent times and is no longer a regular starter.

He did score twice in a 4-0 friendly win over Deportivo La Coruna on Thursday night but opportunities are likely to be limited again this season.

Kaka says he will remain professional in his attitude to training but he hopes to be allowed to move and says his father is already trying to sort out a new club.

“I want to leave. I think now is the right moment for me and for the club for me to leave amicably,” said the 31-year-old.

“I have spoken to Ancelotti and with the club, they all know.”

Kaka continued: “Things are difficult for me now in the team, and the club knows what I want.

“It’s my obligation to work and keep training, but my father is already working to see if something comes up. I think it’s the best thing for me and the club.”

Kaka joined Real from AC Milan and has been linked with a move back to the Italian club this summer.

Vice-president Adriano Galliani is refusing to rule out a swoop for a club legend, telling Lancenet: “Kaka has always been in our hearts, we’ll see if it will be possible.”
