THE LOUD BANG, THAT COULD CHANGE YOUR DIRECTION !!!

The irony of life is when you are the witness and at the same time a victim of an accident. I woke up in the morning feeling too tired or too lazy to go to, that was so unusual but it actually happened that way. It all started on Sunday night, before going to bed, my ALARM is usually set, to 4:30 AM , but this particular morning it was set to 5AM.

I dressed up, ready to go, but sat for another 30mins, told my brother . “i don’t feel like going to work today” I left home.
The journey was smooth, until i got the last park boarding for final destination, i was with heavy bags, and it was necessary for me to sit where i won’t disturb people from coming in.
I guess i was too slow in my decision, and the guys sat where I wanted to, one of them even spoke rudely, I responded but it was nothing serious, the bus was filled up even 2 buses after us was filled too, but the driver was busy collecting money.

The bus took off eventually, with the driver still owing me 10Naira. I eventually got to my final destination with few second to alight from the bus, and there was this loud bang from behind us that change the direction of the bus to the
Other side of the road, “LEKKI-EPE EXPRESSWAY, at Checking point precisely BUS-STOP” That was it dawned on every passengers that we have been hit from behind! The bus almost tumbled, people were falling down, while the bus was still in motion.

The guys that sat in my supposed space fell ,the lady beside me too. When the bus eventually stopped, i was about coming out, i looked behind me and i saw blood on the man sitting behind me, 3 THINGS were on my mind , shout for help, drag him out and rush out , but the shock didn’t allow me to do the first two.

i rushed out eventually, because people came to our rescue, but while crossing the road, another thing almost happened, the car coming was too busy looking at the accident, and he didn’t notice me, and i was too weak to run back or too confused to do anything, all i wanted to do was to leave the scene of the accident.
It was when i got into my office that i noticed blood on me, though nothing compared to the man behind me. i wept a little, that was all i could do and while sobbing, different kinds of thought was coming in, like ” SOMEBODY COULD BE WRITING THIS” AND THE ONE THAT STRUCK MY MIND WAS……. I WAS LATE!
