Kendrick Lamar has bagged a whopping 14 nominations at this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards.

The West Coast rapper who made headlines after calling out a number of popular MCs dominates the list with nominations in almost every category including the ‘Lyricist of  Year’, ‘MVP of the Year’, ‘Best Live Performer’ going toe-to-toe with the likes of Jay Z, Kanye West, J. Cole and others.

Lamar, 26, was crowned the hottest rap artiste shortly after the release of his 2012 album ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’ which went platinum this week.

YMCMB rapper Drake follows K.Dot closely with 13 nominations and J. Cole with 10 nods.

Snoop Lion (Dogg) has also been announced to host the show which holds on September 28, 2013 at theBoisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, Atlanta. It will be aired on October 15, 2013.
