Cougar alert! Tina Turner, 73  finally married longtime boyfriend of 27 years, Erwin Bach, who is a mere 57-years-old. The couple were married earlier this week at Lake Zurick in Küsnacht, Northern Switzerland . The ceremony was private, quiet and attended only by close friends and family.

The municipal official in attendance stated, “There will be a private celebration in Küsnacht on Sunday, [July 21]. We do not have any information about names or number of guests.” An unnamed source closer to the singer and German born record executive spilled the beans on those who arrived. “David Bowie, Sade and even Oprah Winfrey,” were stated to be in attendance. In addition, the invitation prompted all 120 guests to “please wear white.”

Back in 1985 the ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It?’ singer connected with Bach at a record label party in London. The two instantly connected and have been a powerhouse couple since 1986. Bach’s business expanded in the mid-90s prompting the couple to move to Switzerland, which is the location of his business . After the New Year, Turner applied for Swiss citizenship, initializing the social tide of possible nuptials to her young beau.

In spring, Turner officially became a Swiss citizen, and is no longer an American. She doesn’t seem to mind as it seems most of her past problems occurred state side. Born as Anna Mae Bullock, the ‘Proud Mary’ songstress became a national icon for the success for minorities. In 1962 Turner married Ike Turner and he controlled the future of his soon to be ‘estranged wife,’ until their public divorce in 1976. In the critically acclaimed movie ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It,’ the life and times of Ike and Tina Turner were revealed to the public.

Ike was displayed as an addictive personality, who abused his dedicated and somewhat naive wife. After years of abuse, Turner left Ike and divorced him, using the fame of her name to the chagrin of her ex-husband. Ike died on December 10, 2007 as a result of cocaine toxicity and a medley of other health conditions.  Turner, in true class never spoke a word about his death and lived life according to her own standards.

In 1991 Turner was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and had received a Grammy award eight times throughout her career. Turner remains a favorite for many, as she cares for her health, and has been adamant  about keeping her environment calm and clear of negativity after her famous split from Ike.  Prior to her becoming an official Swiss citizen, Turner graced the cover of Vogue Magazine in April. Outside of Meryl Streep, Turner is the oldest person to grace the highbrow magazine.

The cover emblazoned with “Simply The Best!” and the photo shoot represented the title with perfection. Turner remains beautiful, classy and fierce. Going forward, Turner has found the love of her life with longtime boyfriend Erwin Bach. She has a superior knowledge of the German language and excelled in a test given by the local government about Swiss history. Her marriage made waves not only in the United States, but in Switzerland where the timeless singer is much loved.
