Hip Hop super producer Timbaland has revealed that he and Jay-Z had a falling out after the recording of Jay-Z’s 2009 album Blueprint 3. Timbaland who produced most of the records on Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail album said the reason for their disagreement was personal and not over industry or music issues.
‘It was over petty stuff. It was more personal stuff, disagreements. It was not no industry-related. It was more personal and I was wrong. I was wrong. When I was working with Justin [Timberlake on hisThe 20/20 Experience album], he sent me a text. ‘We need to talk. We need to hook back up’ says Timbaland. The pair finally saw during Jay-Z’s series of concerts at the Barclays Arena and made up.
During his conflict with Jay-Z, Timbaland confessed he was addicted to oxycontin. ‘I was popping pills’ he admits. Jay-Z and Timbaland have been collaborating since the 90’s. Together they produced some of the biggest rap songs such as ‘Dirt Off Your Shoulder’ and ‘Big Pimpin’.
