Nicki Minaj Marriage Proposal Hoax

 Nicki Minaj Marriage Proposal Hoax

Nicki Minaj

We speculated about it yesterday, but today it has been cleared up by none other than Nicki Minaj herself. The shocking marriage proposal from DJ Khaled was just a promotional tool. It was never intended to be more than a hoax, a way to get attention from the public and the media. It is all related to DJ Khaled’s new song: ”I Wanna Be With You.” Khaled isn’t the only one performing because he has collaborated with his supposed love interest Nicki Minaj.

Future and Rick Ross also performed their hearts out during this song. This song allegedly will be featured on DJ Khaled’s new album: Suffering From Success. If he really is suffering, it remains to be seen. But for now, he has done it and done it well. He received a lot of attention and Nicki in the process as well.

Some more enlightened folks had already figured out what was going on. DJ Khaled gave some minor hints when he was proposing to Nicki, live, on MTV News. The biggest hint of all was when he talked about why he and Nicki were such a match made in heaven. He said: ”We got the same symptoms, we’re both suffering from success.”

Nicki didn’t speak about any of this until Monday night. She had a conversation with Funkmaster Flex and then she spilled the beans about the marriage proposal hoax. Minaj said: ”I was shocked just like the rest of the world and I was cracking up laughing with the rest of the world ’cause Khaled is a master at what he does,” Nicki added that she hasn’t actually spoken to the man in question, but they probably will hash it out at a later point in time.

She also talked about the fact that nobody in her circles thought about it as an actual proposal. She said:  ”Nobody in my real life took it seriously. Everybody just hit me like, ‘LOL. Yo, Khaled is crazy.’ Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal, ya’ll,” she smiled and ended with: “Please let it go. He was kidding. He’s not attracted to me, he doesn’t like me. We’re brother and sister. It was just another way for him to kinda give the world a glimpse on the feeling of this record.”

The new song might not be to everyone’s liking, as is usual for a Nicki Minaj/DJ Khaled type song. In addition, not everybody appreciated the marriage proposal hoax either. The song is about how they are suffering because they are so succesful and how it is hard for Minaj to find an appropriate man. On the track she raps: ”I wanna be where the commas will be,” she continues with: “But I need a hood n—a with the law man degree/ Get that limited edition Audemars Piget/ It could be in a pivoted position, gotta pardon the fee.”

No one is sure if her current boyfriend meets all these requirements and more. Apparently in the end, if you do happen to find the one, or the person you really want to be with, it doesn’t really matter if they have a law degree and heaps of money. For sure Nicki agrees with that in secret.
