Niki Minaj, like most little girls probably grew up playing with the ever popular Barbie doll. Some even dreamed of looking like Barbie, but eventually grow out of their childhood fantasies and Barbie wannabe fever. You might think this is funny, but I came across some pictures of former American Idol judge, Nicki Minaj. She’s always looked super stylish in public and on the show. Minaj has that rocking pink hair and has often worn the craziest of hats. But I’ve got to tell you, is it me, or does she look like a doll fresh out of the box? You don’t have to answer that. Anyway, there have been a number of people, you might call haters, that say Minaj has had plastic surgery. In an interview with Extra, the pop star told reporter, Renee Bargh: “I’ve never had surgery on my face. They’ll see a contour and think you’ve had surgery on your nose, no-no-no, look at RuPaul’s drag race and you’ll see how you can make your nose look any shape you want.”

“When people see my makeup they think I’m doing all types of crazy things to my skin, but it’s makeup,” Minaj explained.

As I looked back at some of Nicki’s pictures, her face looks totally different. In my opinion, there is a resemblance to the image of a human Barbie doll. You heard it right, Nicki Minaj might be a closet Barbie wannabe. That’s when it hit me. I thought, how many celebrities go out of their way to look like Barbie.

My curiosity got the better of me. I was eager to find every image I could locate online. The hunch led to a most astonishing discovery. It turns out there are several other celebrities that resemble a human doll. In fact, I’ve identified a total of 5 closet Barbie doll wannabes. Now you might find this revelation difficult to appreciate or even believe, but give me two minutes, I’m willing to bet, you’ll be just as speechless, overcome, and spooked as I was upon reviewing the actual evidence.

1. Nicki Minaj
The 30-year-old rapper (yes that’s her real age) has been long rumored to have gone under the knife for a number of plastic surgery procedures. And while, Nicki, has denied the procedure, plastic surgery rumors continue to persist. It is obvious, wouldn’t you say, that the rapper has not only had face surgery, but she has enhanced other body parts as well.

According to Nicki, she’s going for a more grown and sexy look for 2013. And it’s a perfect match for her new lavender Viva Glam Nicki. But make no mistake, somewhere underneath that facade lies the real Minaj yearning to be Barbie.

2. Valeria Lukyanova became an internet sensation in her home country of Russia, claiming on her blog to be the most famed woman on the Russian-language internet. Her doll-like features of long blonde hair and a ‘perfect’ body has made her look like a real life Barbie. I’m a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world… for most of us, “Barbie Girl” was just a catchy pop song in the summer of 1997. But for some truly special individual women, the Barbie doll lifestyle and the cartoonish femininity it suggested, was a dedicated way of life.

The 2nd image at the top is the 21-year-old, Valeria Lukyanova of Russia, a normal-looking, pretty blonde woman… until she pops in blue contact lenses and piles on the makeup, at which point she totally looks like a Barbie doll come alive. Valeria wallpapered her Facebook page with pics of herself resembling the Mattel doll. The glassy-eyed vacant look is so severe, some people wonder if she’s even real; certainly you have to agree, another wannabe Barbie.

3. Paris Hilton was burgled out of nearly $2 million in jewelry from her Sherman Oaks, Calif. home. She’s added a customized $200,000 Bentley Continental GT to her garage. “The hot pink Bentley Continental GT, with monogrammed seats is a nice car, but I used to own the pink Barbie Corvette and it was way hotter. I love it, it’s so pretty.” Hilton – reportedly created a splash, with the car while shopping with Brittany Flickinger. Way to go, but something tells me Hilton’s got wannabe fever.

4. Heidi Montag, of the reality TV show “The Hills,” was never particularly “real.” But Heidi did her
darnedest to make it as “unreal” as possible, when she went for Human Barbie doll gold. One day Heidi was a cute blonde. The next day, her new body was on the cover of People magazine under the headline “Addicted To Plastic Surgery: 10 Procedures In 1 Day.” What was, the then-23-year-old, thinking? Kate theorized at the time that Heidi was trying to look like “a blonde Jessica Rabbit.” I’m still going with “Barbie.

5. Kim Kardashian The reality star is used to getting all kinds of attention, but the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has set tongues wagging and the Internet buzzing with her shocking change in appearance. Hollywood is such a weird place, as once again, there was no reason for Kim to drastically alter her look. She looked just fine before. Hopefully, Kim can stop altering her face before she ends up looking like the cat lady. Is Kim Kardashian the new Heidi Montag? Wait, don’t answer that, because if you’re not Barbie you’re a Barbie wannabe. Let’s save references to Heidi for another time.
