Rapper 50 Cent is facing domestic violence charges after allegedly attacking his ex girlfriend, it has emerged.
It is claimed the ‘Get Rich Or Die Trying’ rapper kicked down a door and attacked the unnamed woman, said to be his ex girlfriend in her California home, after an argument on June 23.
He has been accused of causing over £4,500 of damage during the fight.
Fiddy – real name Curtis Jackson — reportedly left the scene before the police arrived but was later charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic violence and four counts of vandalism.
If convicted, he faces up to five years in jail and £30,000 in fines.
Police say they found the property ransacked with many broken items, including chandeliers, furniture and a television.
The woman, according to TMZ is ‘Fiddy’s’ second baby mama whom he was in a 3 year relationship with.
LA attorney Mike Feuer said: “Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office.”
Last night the star tweeted a line from Michael Jackson classic Billy Jean – which contains the line “The kid is not my son.”
He tweeted: “Look billy jean your not my lover.”
He later claimed he had only tweeted the line because he was listening to the track.
He wrote: “I’m in the car I haven’t been arrested. I’m listing to MJ#SMSAUDIO”
He is set to appear in court on July 22.
