Saudi Prince Sues Forbes For Underestimating His Wealth

Prince Alwaleed has filed a lawsuit in the United Kingdom after Forbes had the nerve to underestimate his wealth, according to him.

The Saudi prince has decided to take legal action against U.S. Forbes financial magazine after it allegedly had the cheek to underestimate his fortune by about $10 billion.

Not many people will be sympathetic to the plight of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, but that did not stop the wealthy businessman from seeking compensation from Forbes magazine for misrepresenting him on their rich list.

The magazine placed the province at number 26 in the rankings with an estimated fortune of $20 billion, which would have been enough for most of us.

The Middle East mogul was not too happy about this as he thought he was worth at least $30 billion and accused Forbes of being biased against Muslims.

However, the publication stuck to their estimates and said the prince was operating in an “alternate reality” if he thought he was worth a lot more.

This did not go down too well with the billionaire, who decided to launch a defamation lawsuit against the magazine in London.

In order to win the lawsuit, the prince will have to convince the court that the ranking caused him to lose a huge amount of money or damaged his reputation.
