These are pictures from ‘The Digital Life Sacrifice’ which happened a while back; a host of celebrities who helped to raise money for AIDS research by suffering a ‘digital death’ which involves them logging off their Twitter, Facebook and other social networking sites for 24 hours.
The concept of ‘The Digital Life Sacrifice’ was created by Alicia who said, ”Once I got people on the phone and I was able to paint the concept for them, everybody was in. ‘We’re trying to make the remark, ‘why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we’re all from?”
