In August 2010, a truck belonging to Dangote Sugar Refineries, rammed into vehicles along the Lagos-Ibadan Express, resulting in a fatal accident that claimed the lives of over 30 people and destroyed several vehicles.
The families of the victims dragged Dangote to court and had to press for over one and half years before getting the green light in court and Dangote order to issue a public apology with ‘minimal’ compensation to families of the deceased.
